Sony Semiconductor Solutions Corporation (SSS) has introduced a software kit called 'Local Edition' to evaluate and verify our edge AI sensing platform 'AITRIOS' within local network environments, without relying on cloud services.
Generally, when developing edge AI solutions, assessing AI model accuracy and conducting validation experiments can be time-consuming. The Local Edition software kit aims to significantly reduce this effort, supporting efficient solution development. By using this kit, developers can simplify processes and reduce costs associated with cloud adoption. It enables the rapid deployment of small-scale solutions in local networks, making it effective for preliminary verification before scaling up to larger systems. Additionally, it’s useful in situations where highly confidential data cannot be uploaded to the cloud.
The kit is provided as a set with a compatible edge device (PoE model: CSV26, Wi-Fi model: AIH-IVRW2).
Tools and features included in Local Edition
● Local Studio: AI Training Tool
Local Studio is the collective term for the PC-based AI training tools provided as a part of Local Edition.
- An industrial-grade AI training tool that can run on a local PC.
- Brain Builder - Classifier/Detector for AITRIOS, available in Local Studio, allows users to create AI models for Classification and Object Detection without the need for advanced AI knowledge.

● Local Console
- A tool that manages the connection between the device and the PC, retrieves images and inference, and deploys AI models to the edge devices.
